  Jay Christensen is Owner and Broker of Christensen Real Estate a locally owned and operated agency that is based on honesty and integrity.. A life long resident of Marion and 5th generation of family being in Marion County. In 2014 I got my real estate license and worked for Heerey Real Estate as agent for 10 years before purchasing the agency, in addition I do construction and remodeling which has been a lifetime hobby of mine.  Prior to becoming realtor I worked for US Postal Service for 27 years and 21 years as postmaster, 3 years in Cedar Point KS and 18 years at Peabody KS, also 6 years as clerk in Hillsboro KS. In addition to being postmaster I was on the Central Plains District Finance team working with post offices and postmaster in Kansas. I am passionate about helping family’s buy and/or sell their home. My years of experience in construction and remodeling helps me understand houses and the desire to help buyers and sellers. In the community I am a member of Marion Merchants Association, board member of Hilltop Manor, a volunteer at Marion County Food Bang and Art in the Park. As a locally owned and operated agency I have and continue to donate and sponsor various community activities: Marion County toy run, Chingawasa Days, St Luke auxiliary, Marion high and middle school sports, Marion County charity auction, local youth programs, MCTV,  Marion Fire department.
